We placed a three-shaku-long Mokugyo (wooden fish) and a three-shaku-long Kinsu (wooden bell) at Soji-ji Temple, the grand head temple of the Soto-shū sect. The 3-shaku Mokugyo is a valuable Mokugyo carved from wood with the wood core removed. The 3-shaku Kinsu was made in the early Showa period andhas been repaired by our company, but it is now considered a masterpiece that is difficult to produce. The solemn and deep sound of these special Mokugyo and Kinsu fill the Daiso-do Hall of Soji-ji Temple with the sound of Buddhist chants.
