We restored the Enmei Jizo Bodhisattva statue (1.55 Shaku, total height 2.6 Shaku) at Soto-shū Sōrinji Temple (Shibukawa City, Gunma Pref.)and enshrined it on 22 September 2022. During the restoration, the lacquered gold leaf was finished with a skin-like surface,a circular halo was added, the pedestal, which was a turned lotus seat, was replaced with a lotus pedestal,the plum blossom pedestal carving was left as is and upper and lower frames with a mokko finish were added,and a richly coloured rock base was newly created, resulting in a statue that conveys the unwavering salvation of Jizo Bosatsu.
