Suiundo partners with FRAME00 on the ‘Temple DAO’.

Suiundo has entered into a partnership with FRAME00 (head office in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo), which develops the DEV protocol (cryptocurrency/virtual currency),and launched ‘Tera DAO’ on 6 June with the aim of preserving traditional culture.

‘Tera DAO’ refers to a decentralised autonomous organisation, which is an organisation managed and operated collaboratively on a blockchain by people around the world who share the same goals and ideals.

Collaborate on a blockchain to manage and operate the organisation.To participate in Temple DAO, users must deposit cryptocurrency (ETH or DEV tokens) into Temple DAO.By doing so, users can support temples and Buddhist art while managing their assets, thereby increasing their cryptocurrency holdings.

Cryptocurrency is a form of currency that circulates on a network called a blockchain,with well-known examples including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). DEV Token currently has exchangeability with Ethereum and plans to list on Japanese exchanges in the future.The DEV Protocol has addressed the challenge that open-source developers face in sustaining their activities for economic reasons.Now, FRAME00 and Suiundo have formed a partnership to solve the problems faced not only by open source developers but also by temple architecture and Buddhist art, and have launched ‘Temple DAO.’

This partnership is a significant step forward for Suiundo, which builds temples and shrines throughout Japan.Suiundo’s temple and shrine architecture is supported by various craft materials and craftsmanship techniques that have been designated as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, but with the funds invested in ‘Temple DAO’ from around the world, it will be possible to create jobs that preserve the techniques of craft materials and traditional craftsmanship.
