Among the temple architecture projects undertaken by Suiundo, on 6 September 2018, the Enlightment gate of Soto-shū Zuinji Temple (Appi Town) in the same Yufutsu District was hit by a violent earthquake with a magnitude 6+ earthquake during a major earthquake centred in the Iburi region of Hokkaido.たものの

The Enlightment gate of Soto-shū Zuiunji Temple was designed and constructed by Suiundo in 1997. The temple suffered little damage compared to other temples in the neighbourhood, proving the reliability of Suiundo’s architecture.
