Mangyo-ji Temple (Niiza City, Saitama Pref., Shingon-shū Chisan-school), 13shaku Shumidan, Roiro-urushi polished / Placed.

13-foot Shumidan altar was completed and placed at Mangyoji Temple (Shingon-shū Chisan-school, Niiza City, Saitama Prefecture).
After applying bace coats with sabi urushi,the altar was layered on cloth with urushi, and then a middle coat of urushi was applied.Finally, the altar was polished with roiro and the entire process was carried out using traditional techniques and materials.
