At the Suiundo workshop, the wooden base for a 13-shaku Shumidan altar has been completed and will now be finished with Urushi lacquer by nushi（lacquer painter）The wooden base is secured with a traditional Shachi-tsugi（lapped rod mortise and tenon joint） joint made from Hime-komatsu（Japanese white pine）.The lacquer base is made of kataji (hard base) with a Roiro-urushi finish, and a 2.5-shaku-tall Fudō Myōō (Shitsushitsuza) will be enshrined on it.
