Making of the Shumidan

The Suiundo Matsudo workshop produces a variety of ritual implements for temples, the most representative of which is the Shumidan (the central altar).Shumidan are placed on Buddhist altars in temples to hold Buddhist statues and Zushi (small shrines) for enshrining Buddhist statues. Suiundo’s main feature is that we listen to requests directly from temples and produce items in our own workshop. Another strength of Suiundo is that we can produce items such as canopies and Doban (banners) to match Shumidan. We accept orders for new items as well as repairs, so please feel free to consult us.
